🌿 General Shipping Policy – Live Plants

At Exotic Botanist, I specialize in rare and culturally significant plants. I take great care to ensure that our live plants are shipped safely, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

📦 Shipping Availability

I currently ship live plants within the lower 47 (not including California) United States only. No international shipping.

❌ No Shipping to California

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) enforces rigorous inspection and quarantine procedures. Many of the species I grow are subject to additional restrictions, which makes consistent and compliant shipping into California unfeasible.
Any orders placed with a California shipping address will be automatically canceled and refunded.

⚠️ Customer Responsibility

It is the buyer’s responsibility to be aware of and follow any state or local restrictions regarding the importation of specific plants. I encourage you to do your research before ordering.

📦 Shipping Conditions

  • Orders sent Monday and Tuesday only (to minimize transit stress)

  • Plants shipped in secure packaging for safe arrival

  • Tracking provided for all shipments

Local Delivery

I offer local delivery within 15 miles of Tualatin, OR for a $10 flat fee (FREE on orders over $75). Local deliveries are made Fridays — please order by Thursday 4pm to qualify. If you see “Local delivery” at checkout, you’re in the zone!

Pick-up

If you are viewing these plants at Marbott’s Greenhouse & Nursery and want to pick them up there, you MUST coordinate with me. Please make contact with Josh, who is the owner of Marbott’s and is always on site. You can then call me and confirm your purchase and I will provide you with a code that makes shipping FREE. 🌿 Shipping Policy – for Salvia divinorum only

At Exotic Botanist, I am committed to responsibly offering unique and rare ethnobotanical plants. Due to varying state laws and regulations regarding Salvia divinorum, I have adopted the following shipping policy to ensure full legal compliance and customer transparency. I currently ship Salvia divinorum plants only to the following U.S. states:

  • Idaho

  • Massachusetts

  • Montana

  • Nevada

  • New Jersey

  • New Mexico

  • New York

  • Oregon

  • South Carolina

  • Utah

  • Vermont

  • Washington

❌ I Do Not Ship To Any Other States

If your shipping address is not within one of the states listed above, your order for Salvia divinorum will be canceled and store credit will be given in place. I will not ship to states this plant is banned in.
